Recombinant Human MCSF Protein
|Macrophage Colony Stimulating Factor||
Macrophage colony stimulating factor (MCSF) is one of the glycoproteins called colony-stimulating factors (CSFs). A mononuclear phagocyte colony-stimulating factor (MCSF) synthesized by mesenchymal cells. The compound stimulates the survival, proliferation, and differentiation of hematopoietic cells of the monocyte-macrophage series. Some clinical investigations have shown autologous production of MCSF various human cell lines in vitro and by tumors in vivo. Recombinant Human MCSF is a disulfide linked homodimer, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain.
Recombinant Human MCSF is fully biologically active when compared to standards. The ED50, calculated by the dose-dependent proliferation of mouse NFS-60 cells, is typcially less than 2.0 ng/ml.

Sterile filtered white lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
Human MCSF is lyophilized in 10 mM NaP, 8.0 + 50 mM NaCl, at a concentration of 1 mg/ml.
Centrifuge vial before opening. When reconstituting the product, gently pipet and wash down the sides of the vial to ensure full recovery of the protein into solution. It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized product with sterile water at a concentration of 0.1 mg/ml, which can be further diluted into other aqueous solutions.
Lyophilized product is very stable at -20°C. Reconstituted material should be aliquoted and frozen at -20°C. It is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) for long term storage.
Endotoxin level is <0.01 ng/ug or <0.1 EU/ug.
Protein Content determined by
UV spectroscopy at 280 nm. Analysis by RP- HPLC calibrated against a known standard. Quantitation on SDS-PAGE against a known standard.
