Synthetic Self-Assembling Peptide Hydrogels
PeptiGels® are ready-to-use fully synthetic peptide hydrogels that are biologically relevant and formulated to meet your cells’ needs. PeptiGels® are used for 2D and 3D cell culture and are specifically designed with a range of mechanical properties and chemical functionalities to mimic the native cellular micro-environment to allow the growth of any cell type.
Product Description
PeptiGel® Alpha 2™ is a ready-to-use fully synthetic positively charged peptide hydrogel. PeptiGel® Alpha 2™ is biologically relevant, mimics the extracellular matrix and is suitable for the culture of a variety of cells, including neuronal cells.
PeptiGel® Alpha 2™ is a stiffer hydrogel when compared to Alpha 4 but has consistent mechanical stiffness (G’) and pore size, resulting in excellent reproducible results. PeptiGel® Alpha 2™ can be used for both in-vitro and in-vivo applications with physiologically and clinically relevant results.
Value Starter Pack
When beginning to work with PeptiGels®, we recommend purchasing our Value Starter Pack. This includes PeptiGel® to test with your cells to enable you to identify the most suitable matrix environment. The Pack also includes a Gilson positive displacement pipette (various sizes are available), a box of sterile tips and a pack of Greiner Thincerts. Contact us for additional information.
Case Studies
PeptiGel® outperforms Matrigel™
PeptiGel® Alpha 2™ supports quicker growth of fully formed gastro-intestinal organoids than Matrigel™.
Tailored PeptiGel® properties mimic the mechanical and chemical environment of healthy and cancer tissue
Tumour mimicking (stiff and acidic) PeptiGel® Alpha 2™ results in increased proliferation of Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma suit-2 cells.
PeptiGel® enables the migration of resident cells into injury
PeptiGel® Alpha 2™ implanted in the brain was well tolerated and supported the migration of resident cells into a lesion created by treatment with collagenase.
