EVlution™ is a compact, affordable benchtop tangential flow filtration (TFF) system engineered for high-yield concentration and purification of extracellular vesicles (EVs) and other biomolecules. Process up to 1 litre of sample in just 90 minutes, with Switch Flow™ technology reducing retentate volumes to less than 10 mL - maximising recovery while minimising loss. Compatible with 12 polyethersulfone hollow fibre cartridge pore sizes (1 kDa–1,000 kDa), EVlution™ delivers the flexibility, purity, and throughput that ultracentrifugation simply can't match, at a fraction of the cost.

Simple Principles and Workflow
EVlution™ is a compact TFF platform designed for efficient size-dependent concentration and purification of EVs and other molecules. TFF provides an effective method of size-based separation of biomolecules, including EVs. The characteristics of TFF design makes it an excellent choice for workflows at the lab scale. The adaptable design of EVlution™ supports a wide range of hollow fiber filter configurations, making it a flexible solution for diverse laboratory-scale applications. With an intuitive interface and streamlined operation, EVlution™ simplifies complex filtration processes while delivering reliable performance.
Dead-end filtration passes the entire sample volume through the filter, leading to filter clogging and a low permeate rate. TFF recirculates samples across the filter surface, sweeping the filter surface to prevent clogging.

The workflow for using EVlution™ TFF allows processing of a 1 litre sample in 90 minutes.
Sample flow paths in EVlution™ TFF. The blue path represents the flow of the sample entering through the inlet, across the TFF cartridge and looping back as retentate. The green path represents the portion of the sample that passes through the membrane and exits separately as permeate.
EVlution™ works with a range of hollow fibre filters with different pore sizes for different applications, which include:
- Recovering proteins, antibodies, and EVs from cell culture media and other starting materials.
- Concentrating and purifying proteins, peptides, and nucleic acids.
- Depletion of FBS-associated EVs
- Buffer exchange (diafiltration)
Features and Benefits
Compared to ultracentrifugation, TFF is a more efficient method for processing large sample volumes. Using the 260 cm2 filter, EVlution™ allows researchers to concentrate and purify EVs from up to 3 litres of starting material.

Features
The modular design of EVlution™ supports a range of configurations, including different hollow fibre filter cartiridges or with different surface areas and poe sizes, making it a flexible solution for diverse laboratory-scale applications. With an intuitive interface and streamlined operation, EVlution™ simplifies complex filtration processes while delivering reliable performance. The polyethersulfone hollow fibre TFF cartridges are available in 12 different pore sizes, allowing you to customize your EVlution system to suit your research needs. Our 300 kDa and 500 kDa cartridges are the most widely used pore sizes for EV concentration, generating small volumes with high exosome yield. The EVlution™ system is designed to be used in conjuction with Exo-spin™ Purification columns. The system is easy to clean and the filters are reusable up to 20 times.
