Recombinant Human MCP-4 / CCL13
Induced chemotaxis of THP-1 cells assay for Human MCP-4. Cells that migrated were counted using a luminescent substrate. Migration over basal levels was reported in response to Human MCP-4 starting at 1000 ng/ml.
Non-reducing (-) and reducing (+) conditions in a 4 - 20% Tris-Glycine gel stained with Coomassie Blue. 1 μg of protein was loaded in each lane. Human MCP-4 has a predicted Mw of 8.6 kDa.

Monocyte Chemotactic Protein 4 (MCP-4), also known as CCL13, is induced by inflammatory proteins such as interleukin-1 (IL-1) and Tumor Necrosis Factor α (TNF-α). MCP-4 is a ligand for the G protein coupled chemokine receptors CCR2, CCR3, and CCR5. MCP-4 activates signaling in monocytes, T lymphocytes, eosinophils, and basophils during inflammation and allergic responses.Activity Assay
Human MCP-4 is fully biologically active when compared to standard. The activity is determined by the ability to induce chemotaxis of THP-1 cells.AA Sequence
