Thymus and Activation Regulated Chemokine (TARC), also known as CCL17, is a chemokine that is constitutively produced by thymus tissue and activated peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs), including dendritic cells. TARC signals through the CCR4 receptor to induce chemotaxis of Type 2 T helper (Th2) cells. TARC is important in asthma and allergic diseases, along with bacterial and viral infections.Activity Assay
