Recombinant Human TNF Receptor Type 1
Neutralization of human TNF-α induced proliferation of L929 cells in the presence of Actinomycin D. Cell proliferation was measured to calculate the ED50, which is as expected less than 100 ng/ml.
Non-reducing (-) and reducing (+) conditions in a 4 - 20% Tris-Glycine gel stained with Coomassie Blue. 1 μg of protein was loaded in each lane. Human TNF Receptor Type 1 has a predicted Mw of 18.3 kDa.

Tumor Necrosis Factor Receptor type 1 (TNF Receptor 1) is expressed in most tissues and is activated by soluble and membrane-bound Tumor Necrosis Factor α (TNF-α). TNF Receptor 1 activates NF-kappaB and MAPK pathways to induce inflammation, promote apoptotic cell death, inhibit tumorigenesis, and inhibit viral replication.Activity Assay
Human TNF Receptor Type 1 is fully biologically active when compared to standard. The activity is determined by the neutralization of human TNF-α and it is typically less than 100 ng/ml. This corresponds to an expected specific activity of 1.0 x 104 units/mg.AA Sequence
